The annual Rick Hansen Fishing Challenge brings together business and community leaders from across North America for four amazing days of tournament fishing at Langara Fishing Lodge in the Queen Charlotte Islands, British Columbia, Canada. The tenth annual Challenge took place on June 21-24, 2008.

Since its inception in 1998, Langara Fishing Lodge has played host to the Rick Hansen Foundation’s goal of raising money and awareness for spinal cord injury research. The Rick Hansen Fishing Challenge has directly raised over $800,000 for the Rick Hansen Man In Motion Foundation, and connections made at the event have helped to raise many millions more.

This event offers participants the opportunity to network, catch the 'big one' and support two worthwhile causes. Funds raised through the event support spinal cord research through the Rick Hansen Foundation, as well as the conservation efforts of the Pacific Salmon Foundation.

Rick and his Foundation have also assisted Langara Fishing Adventures in efforts to improve accessibility at our lodges for people with mobility impairment.
